I think the Net needs accountability - but censorship is another thing entirely. People should be responsible for their actions, but they must have freedom. Even freedom to do wrong.

I think we will see some very interesting developments in internation law, and public relations due to all this. The hardest thing about enforcing internet law is the fact that it crosses too many jurisdictions. As much as countries want to keep hating each other, the ammount of capital which can be generated via the internet, may just be enough for leaders to actually start talking some sense to eachother.
Then, after the aliens are finished giving us anal probes, they will monitor all users everywhere, and bust them like ripe tomatoes on a concrete floor the minute they step out of line.
That's my theory anyway.
