news people, CNN, are saying that scientist are only months away from being able to clone a human being with no problem. they said that there are already 100's of people lined up to do it.

1.i think its bullshit, becuase they have been cloning animals and humans since the 1950's...why didnt they just say it then?

and 2. would you, or hell, after hearing this, WILL you have yourself cloned? and if you do, what would you do with, well, you?

I've always been one to think, in science, if it can be done, do it. Cloning animals is not one of those I think is a good idea. BUT, there are aspects where this science is a good idea.

People are always trying to find ways to stay alive longer, and advancements in medications and standards of living have been the reasons for increases health. But now with the science, a new technology can keep people alive much longer. Instead of cloning a person, clone organs, young organs that will not develop problams for years. Or even play with the genetics so they don't break down at the same age.

Nature has a plan, and whatever humans do, is part of nature. Every species does it's own thing to keep itself alive longer. Humans just have much better ways of doing so.

If science can grow me a new kidney, they should do it. Cloning humans has no real point, unless someone is creating a race of super humans to kill everyone. But that would be weird, and I'm in a clam mood right now.
