I didnt think that this fit with the Gay Rights thread, so I made a new one...

Now, I'm sure we've all seen the rainbow sticker on a car at one time or another. It is supposed to represent being gay, as far as I know. Now, should I go out and get a half black/half white sticker? To represent the fact that I'm heterosexual? What if I were Bi? A gray one?

I have nothing against being proud of who and what you are, as long as those are things to be proud of. (not shit like an actual killer or anything) I dont think sexuality fits in there tho... Should I be proud because I love the female form, and do not lust after men?

I dont want to try to take anything away from those of you who are gay or bi, I just want to understand the thinking behind these stickers. Way I see it, it's a bridge to understanding other public displays as well.

I love playing the piano. I am going to put in the bed of my truck.

Why not a sticker that just says American?

That would stop the discrimination. Yes, it certainly would.

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">I don't believe that it's something to be proud of, that's like having a sticker on your car because you like to eat sandwiches.

I think they're proud of themselves because as a group they've overcome a lot of things and continue to face oppression all the time. As a straight person, I don't have to worry about holding hands with my significant other, and walking down the street at night. It's a little different for gays, but then, whaddo I know?

I'm going hold a white pride parade. Not a whites are better than every other race parade, but a proud of what we've done parade.

I wonder how long it would take for Jesse Jackson to call me racist. Can I kill him?

I am pretty sure that they use the rainbow so that they can identify each other. Wouldn't it be kind of embarassing going up to a straight person and saying "Hey I would like to lick your groin" and then for them not to be homosexual?

We actually had a group of people hold a "straight-pride" march in our city last year. A couple hundred people showed up. It made the news as a "hate-group" protesting gay rights. I don't get it why you have to be proud of your sexuality. You is what you is. Big deal.

Hate Group?
Isn't that what Marching Gays are? Fueled by jealousy of the legitimacy and acceptance straight people have. Trying to eek out legitimacy by showing their numbers. Trying to prove they are "normal" by pointing out other's faults. Working too hard to justify their actions and hide their guilt.

This is not a gay bashing thread. I am merely stating my feelings about the "Pride Marches" in general. If you need an event to prove you are proud of whom you are, you aren't very comfortable with yourself.

Putting a rainbow sticker in your car window is not making a big deal about it.......no wait hang on you mean the gay marches maybe.

Jock vs faggot/freak culture.

Up the downtrodden.

I was from the right side, I played sport, I was male and blue eyed, I was popular. Yet I made friends with the male ballet dancers and the big fat ugly ' no-one will invite to the prom ' types.

And yes I backed a way a little from making these people my friends, because it was a hell of a lot easier just to be ' one of the lads ', am I am truly ashamed to have done that.

Here's one....I used to play in a punk rock band in Sydney Australia of all places, and one of the venues we played was in on one of the main drags ' to coin a phrase ' of the Sydney gay nightlife. Sydney would be second only to San Fran, gay wise, maybe.

Anyway, we had quite a large skinhead following, goes with the territory, punk rock involves using the old grey cells, Skinheadism means dressing tidily and acting like a tosspot, quite often the easier option.

These boneheads took to beating the gayboys up after our gigs, until the nancy boys started carrying knives and holding their own.

Yes, onya boys.

My point? Fucked if I really know anymore.

Well yeah actually my point is, Rogue you aint one of them gun hoarding right wing homophobic christian types are ya boy, white supremacy and all that?
