Good players=people who lose a lot of money.
Not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I'd more likely than not makeuse of it if it were my casino in question. Then again, it is a bit invasive.
I guess the moral is, dont gamble, and dont worry.
EDIT: Ok, I feel stupid. I had not even thought of the other uses til I read RW's second post on this. True, if used in such ways, which it will be, this is bullshit.
Not up to speed today.

Like most anything, this technology has the potential to do both a lot of good and a lot of evil.
Question: Could images such as photographs be effectively used with this technology? If so, could we ever HOPE to prevent our precious government from using said images to form yet ANOTHER data base registry to help keep tabs (read: control) over it's citizens?
I'm not optimistic. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/mad.gif

database. surveillance.
Facial recognition links to DNA record of genetic tendency to gambling addiction links to database of financial background and current credit record. Casino targets and provides special treatment for easy victim, who smiles happily while being bled dry. And that's just the casino industry.

Nah, far from it.
I'm a generalist and good at finding information on the net. Especially when the topic is fascinating.

Yes, I'm slow. I would like to comment on this topic. Rogue Warrior, you are way to paranoid. Don't break the law, and don't worry about getting caught. The technology they are using isn't anything new to humans. A human can see someone and say "Hey, I have seen this person before." We now are simply teaching a computer to do it more effectively. And as far as the telephone cameras and business like that...why couldn't you cover the camera up when using the phone? And if they really wanted to do that...why didn't they put fingerprinting phones out that would finger print anyone who used the phone. It would be cheaper than cameras and the same "big brother" idea.
And as for founding fathers...I am sure that the founding fathers didn't expect for use to use computers either. Ya know why? BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE THEM YET! They didn't have a lot of things in mind! If you come back and say "I said 'sort of behavior'" then my response, in advance, is this: Our founding fathers didn't plan on the crime rate being this high either, nor the criminals to be as smart as they are, and that criminals would be able to evade authority like they do.

The founding Fathers wanted a government that served the will of the people not a government where the people served the will of the government.
Which do you think best describes the current state of affairs?

Woof.
If it's so sick, why are you laughing?
