The first one is really cool. To me it looks like a melding of hot blowing sand and fire. Nice font also.

The second is great! One suggestion, The first frame should have more delay. The first "E" disappears before you get a look at it. To me, your name should show up first and then start falling apart.

Nice smooth running gifs Po. I like that you kept them small, fast loading.
