OK, it all started when i was nice enough to help a co-worker study for a class that she is behind in. As a favor she took me out to eat, when we got back to work her jealous husband was there and he was pissed. He started talking all kinds of shit to me and telling me that I had "better watch yo self boy." I tried by best to ignore him and walked off, I went back out to smoke a cig and he was right there also, still talking shit to me. Finally my supervisor came out and asked him to leave, he did and a few min later he apologized to me. It was all that I could do not to get pissed off and start talking shit back. How else could you handle that situation?

As much as I feel the same way RW does on this, you did the right thing (seems to be alot of that going around, I keep having to type it).
your indifferent attitude probably hurt the guy more than any gutpunch could have. I can recall plenty a happenstance where I employed the same tactic, and had it work marvelously. seems to unnerve cro-mags very nicely. Here they are primping and posing to their lil hearts are fluttering to the bursting point, and all you can be bothered to do is take another drag off of your ciggie. It's not the expected response, so it throws them off.
Either way, kudos to you for being the bigger man in this scenario.

You walked away from the first encounter. That's what I would have done.
You kept your cool when he followed you and kept talking trash. That's where I would have given him the opportunity to follow up on his threats.
Regardless, you kept your cool and a physical confrontation was avoided, so it worked out ok. No harm, no foul.

This is what you do...next time, come get some of us http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/biggrin.gif...and I'll get my lousville slugger out of the trunk of my car, walk up to him, and bash him over the head. Then, we can load the guy up in the bed of a truck, take him to lake tyler, and dump him off a peir....w/ weights tied around him of course to make sure that he stays down. Of course, that is just if you're trying to get rid of him quickly. I could think of a hundred better and more painful things to do...heh heh heh....
