<font color=pink>The survey's were simply made so I can get an idea of what people use IRC for and what their thoughts are on it. The results most likely will not be put into my ethnography, but to give me a round about idea of what is up. If the findings are something that I did not expect, something critical, then I will use them in my paper. They will be mentioned, but I'm not sure if I will include a chart on said findings. I'm really not sure as to what exactly will be put in the ethnography, its in its very early stages so I'm trying to work through whatever I have at the present time. All this could change if I want it to.

Another reason on why I picked to do a survey is because, considering the amount of time I have to do this.. I need a mass response on these questions. A survey was the best way to get this result.

If people lie, well there's nothing I can do, but if people wnat to lie they will lie with anything, not just a survey. There is always that posibility that people are going to lie...thats why Im going to pick 5 poeple to concentrate on and not everyone who filled out a survey.

In other words, it's research.

Kaye, I filled out the one you sent me, now I feel dirty and used because the word "survey" was misleading. You should have put "research survey" on the header or somewhere. Ooooooh how you used me you awful awful personblowme,youchunkyass, etc. Anyway... Why not just go into a large capacity channel and observe for yourself, like #chatzone on EFnet. You'll get a wide variety of everything there, and the best advantage to that is you're not depending on other peoples' opinions on the "human relations" aspect of the internet.

<font color=pink>I CANNOT STAND GIVING OUT THESE FUCKING SURVEYS ANYLONGER!!!! I AM SOOOOO BLOODY FRUSTRATED I CAN'T EVEN SEE STRAIGHT!!! Really though, I have given it to all the people I know and then some... but because I need so many, I am forced to enter unknown territory (other channels) and fuck, I am being treated like fucking garbage and I can't say a god damn thing to these people. "hi, want my survey" (not in those words but you get what i mean) "i would rather eat glass, you bitch". *BAN* *KICK* Really, this is happening over and over again.

I cannot stand these fucking surveys anymore. Ok, its only like the third for forth day I have been given them out, but the abuse I have encountered is too much. I don't care much about being kicked or banned but its the fact that I cannot say a word. I cant tell them to shove the survey up their ass... I have to suck it up and take it. That is the worse part.

I will use this in my ethnography.
