A few quick things, and then I'm definitely going to sleep.
Take nothing for granted - for nothing is timeless. The parent you ignore or the friend you take for granted day after day won't always be there for you, better to use the time you have now for more worthwhile things than to regret the unsaid words and actions left undone.
Treat others well - everything you do has repercussions beyond what you may think. The person you piss off at the bank may very well get into a serious car accident as a result or vent his rage on his wife, etc...better to avoid shit like that.
Something related to Kaye's problems: if you ignore somebody and put them below yourself, you both suffer. My ex tried that, and still does...I feel no pity for her when she cries over what she's done. Especially when she hasn't learned the first 500 times or so that I've told her why she acts like she does. Had she paid attention from the start instead of being immature and a heartless bitch she might not be in the position she's in now.
Listen to what you hear and see, and pay attention. Nothing is crystal clear, and you can learn more things from what isn't said than what is.
Above all, learn from what you experience instead of wallowing in self pity and running from the same problems the next time they occur. Too many people I know sit and fucking whine about shit over and over while asking me how to deal with something that I gave them the answer to long before.
Simple details in life usually lead to the hardest answers. Ignoring them is the biggest mistake possible, well...short of banging the hell outta Heidi Klum should she show up at yer doorstep...but that's a different story.
