Automotive Fun Incarnate! (http://www.flamethrowers.com)

I want one. Pity i have no money.

The guy who runs it is also a Christian nut. Always seems to be the way in America.

You don't have to buy one from them. Here's how its done:

Auto Exhaust Flame Thrower, by the Jolly Roger

For this one, all you need is a car, a sparkplug, ignition wire and a switch. Install the spark plug into the last four or five inches of the tail pipe by drilling a hole that the plug can screw into easily. Attach the wire (this is regular insulated wire) to one side of the switch and to the spark plug. The other side of the switch is attached to the positive terminal on the battery. With the car running, simply hit the switch and watch the flames fly!!! Again be careful that no one is behind you! I have seen some of these flames go 20 feet!!!

I think I saw something like that excerpt in either the Anarchist's Cookbook or the Poor Man's James Bond. (Years ago of course.)

Getting a car is like having a kid, Rabble. Be sure you can keep it alive before you make it part of your life.

The spark plug thing sounds odd. If your car is running properly there shouldn't be enough fuel in the exhaust to create a visible flame. Do you pull a plug wire to keep one of the cylinders from firing or adjust the mixture way rich? Either way it sounds hard on the engine. How do you get enough oxygen to the plug to start the fire? Again the only way I can think of would be to pull a plug wire and let the engine miss.
I am really curious how you get it done.

It will work, I have seen it work on a couple of carburated car and even on EFI car. The exaust cant be lit to make a flame when it leaves the pipe, but if its ignited inside the pipe it will because air hasn't dried the fuel in the air yet. You have to rev the engine anyways, if for no other reason than to not melt your taillights. The exaust flamethrower would be hard on the motor if you unplugged a spark plug wire but you don't (and shouldn't) have to do that. Just put the spark plug in the exaust close to the end of the pipe, it can get enough air there. If you use an H-pipe of something don't put a spark plug in the pipe that connects the pipes. The mount for the spark plug must be solid and airtight, drill a hole at the proper location in the exaust tubing and weld on nut that fits the spark plug threads. Now its airtight and replacing plugs will be easy and if you ever want to get rid of it just put a bolt in the nut for the plug. I wrote this part myself but the instructions above came right out the anarchists cookbook.
