"who are these? Why sit they in twilight?
Wherefore rock they, purgatorial shadows,
Drooping tongues from jaws that slob their relish,
Baring teeth that leer like skulls' teeth wicked?
Stroke on stroke of pain, -but what slow panic
Gouged these chasms round their fretted sockets?
Ever from their hair and through their hands' palms
Misery swelters. Surely we have perished
Sleeping, and walk in hell; but who these hellish?"

I translated it into Dutch to get "Bloem", which means "Flower" or "Flour".

Funny old world.

To me it sounds like a sort of depressing word. Like I would use it instead of sighing or saying 'humm'..

I think of balloons.

My pop-up-quick description would be some very pretty bird with NO plumage. It's a bluhm now, but when it gets it's plumage and isn't a naked bird, it turns into a "luhm".

The first thing I thought of was something exploding in the next room in a cartoon.

...course, I'm like that....

Sounds like a variation of "blah"

AS in "hey man, let's go to Oportos!"

"Blah. Off with ye, miscreant."
