Look. While I do have some faith in the government, I think they are going about it in the wrong way. With this 'Magic Lantern' program, the only shit they are probably going to find in the U.S. is a whole lot of smartass 13 year old pr0n addicts. S11 was caused by people with boxcutters. High tech? I think not. And messages can be spoken in person, or put in the mail. They cant open all of the mail, the volume is too big. This new high tech juggenaught wont touch pencil and paper. I agree, the idea is good. Perhaps they might pick up something. Better safe then sorry, I guess. Its just that if people are willing to die, then your chances of surviving go way down. Because entry routes are really easy to make or bash. Its getting out which is harder. Always in favor of the protagonist, and in favor of the one way ticket.

Look at Beiruit. A dumptruck full of explosives just bashed through the barricades. Thats all thats needed. National Guard wont stop that. 183 Marines died, I think. By a man in a garbage truck full of plastique.

A dump truck, a concealed knife or bomb, a private plane, a car with a light sensor or a timer, a well placed bullet or knife. Very hard to stop. But your chances increase if you actually look hard. Becuase your rights count for shit when you are 6 feet under.

His sword on all sides
Strikes his foes
Crushes them down
Thus drops each man
On whom its blow falls"

Mondex card? That has the look of a Mastercard with the same functions as a debit or checking card. Did I miss something?

C'mon, RW, don't go pentecostal on us. Been reading too much Hal Lindsey lately?

The Mondex tech has been around as an idea for at least 60 yrs, and in phased development and implementation for at least the last dozen yrs.

Does it have the potential for abuse? Hell, YES! Will it be abused by gov'ts everywhere? Silly question! Can we stop it or even retard it's surge onto the world stage? Fuck no! Why, you ask? Because we live in a world of sheeple (lovely term, what?) and the wolves are in charge of the flock.

If one seriously wants to avoid the transaction by transaction monitoring of our daily lives then we must stay out (as much as humanly possible) of the information economy and stay on a cash basis. Good Luck!

Ummm.... ow.

As long as I get my stamps, I'm ok with this.
