Quite often, I here of Canadian bands being big in Canada, but unheard of anywhere else.
In the midst of the Matthew Good Band hitting the US, I was wondering as to how many of you have heard of them? How big are they outside of Canada?
I know Kaye and G/A will have heard of them, how about you guys?

<a href="http://www.matthewgoodband.com/">This is their website</a>.
If you have Napster, grab "Hello Time Bomb", "Strange Days" or "Load me up". Thats from their latest CD.

While I agree that MGB is cool, I think a better representative of good Canadian music is a band called Finger Eleven (http://www.fingereleven.com) , check them out... if doing a search on Napster, also look for Rainbow Butt Monkies, their old name... sweet stuff

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it.

Kind of a soft rock/rock band. Click the samples, see for yourself.

Hello Time Bomb is a damn good song, and fairly big down here in Floriduuuh. I dig it a hell of a lot. It has this late 80's pop rock kinda feel to it, without being TOO retro.
I KNOW zoey has to have heard it, if she listens to K-rock, or WDRE/WLIR, or whatever the fuck it is that they are going by these days.

Nope!! ! I'll agree that I've never heard of them. I'll have a listen on napster though. I'm out in the middle of a stinking swamp where Creed is still considered "NEW" music.
