Immigrants and people getting stuff for free

Certain things may should be free. Like today at the health club, I receieved a free massage, kind of something to tempt me into spending money on a real one. It was free because it did not inflict anything detrimental to another party.

Free things are wonderful if no problems come from it.

Now, onto my real point.

I am extremely pro-immigration, if (and this is a huge if) they are productive in this country. Let me explain.

Los Angelos county in California has a large population of Mexican immigrants. Many of them work, and provide much more for their families than they could dream of in Mexico, and respect that a great deal. But, there are also many who gangbang, deal drugs, and shoot cops. Then get thrown in jail, and waste tax dollars. These jail-monkeys are both legal, and illegal. Now, one could say the system doesn't work right, if illegals are being put in jail, and I know this. Nothing is perfect. But these people abuse this country's open border ways. Get a job. Add something to society, don't degrade it with what you do.

The sad thing is, I can also say this about natural born citizens. And I will. Gangbanging isn't a way of life. It wastes money. The hospitals have to pay for all the gunshot wounds, cops have to deal with people complaining about brutality when all the cops have done is watch their back.

It's a vicious cycle, and I really wish it would stop.


I seem to notice a problem with what I do. I speak of all these problems, and have some solutions, but I have no idea how I would every accomplish this. Money = power. I seem to have neither.

Perhaps if all of you American citizens out there could rally behind me, and pass my great wisdom around, then things could get done.

i concur with what you say... but i think that you are once again glorifying the 'rightness' of america and the 'wrongness' of everyone else..

you make it sound like it's easy to get a job there.. it isn't always, or even often

in another post i said that there are high-paying jobs there in the states not being filled by your citizens.. this is the truth. but it is also true that these jobs are not easily attainable. they require diplomas, several of them...

these are not always easily attainable, especially if english is not your first language.

Don't get the idea that i'm defending much of the scum that chooses to deal drugs and kill people for their money.. but i can understand that sometimes when you have no money and are starving there is little alternative... especially if you are here illegally to escape mexico (or other countries)

I live in a town with a small population of Hispanics, most here legally, some not. We have no gangbangers here, the Hispanics here are basically all hard working honest people. They keep to themselves for the most part which I understand as they speak their native tongue and have brought the culture of their native land with them.
I think that the bad seed are, as with every other culture, race, whatever, are in a small minority. The problem is that we don't see news reports on some Mexican who is cooking in a resturant 50 hours a week, raising a family and sending money home. That isn't news.
Years back, I was partners in a small construction firm. Within the first year, I had replaced all my white laborers with Mexicans. They showed up on time, worked their asses off, didn't whine, weren't hungover, didn't call from jail needing three days off, didn't drink or smoke dope on the job, didn't fuck off when they weren't being watched. they were also all paid more than I paid the white workers because they were worth it.
Open the gate, we need them.
I told one of my last white workers who complained about the 'fucking beaners' stealing his job, "they didn't steal it, they are just DOING it, you weren't."

As far as I know, gaining legal citizenship in the US isn't a hard process. But, I am not all that familiar with the system, do I can't really make an educated guess.

I've worked with the Mexican immigrants who work 50+ hours a week and send most of the money back to their families. They make a significant sacrifice by leaving everything they know, and ultimately, coming to a country that probably seems to hate them.

White people are ignorant. Black people are ignorant. Mexican people are ignorant. Every human being is ignorant of something.

I live in southern California. We have a great deal of Mexicans living here. I have a lot of respect for them. Unfortunately they are mostly downtrodden. They work our fields and mow our lawns etc. They work hard and are honest. Of course in the inner citys there is violence of all colors. It is very cool to be in gangs now and the kids fall in to peer pressure.
As a whole I think they are disadvantaged but they still prevail due to their unbreakable spirit. Just an opinion.

Here in the big apple, it's mostly puerto ricans and dominicans that make up the hispanic population. They don't bother anyone, as irritating as they are with the way they dress and how they shave their eyebrows to draw them back in again. i can look past that, though. Generally they leave people alone and do their own thing, and very few of them annoy the shit out of everyone by talking at the top of their lungs on the bus.
