Perhaps I'm dillusional and just short of a clock tower but I seem to recall Dubya getting reelected here in TX and looking right into the camera and saying he would not run for president and "PUT HIS FAMILY THROUGH THAT!!!"

What has transpired since then tells me the type of politician we expect to run for office.
