Sometimes it's so easy to despair...
Every morning and night I go to colors and watch the flag...and I think of how beautiful are the ideals upon which this nation was founded...

And now it's all falling apart around me. Sometimes it makes me want to cry. I feel especially powerless to stop it all...::sigh::

*capnMAC nods in silent and sad comprehension...he thinks back to the cannon that took his good leg and arterial red of the battle field fades into the flag which now flys above his weathered deck*

from vulnerability true strength can be discovered. live those ideals that you cherish as a way of preserving them.

*sighs* i, too, know the feeling of powerlessness of which you speak.

but if it helps any...i like you. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/biggrin.gif</FONT c>

I love you too, Sianna. I love everybody...that's my thing, y'know? Even spooky. I think he's completely fucking wrong (actually I think that about a lot of people) but I love ya'll anyway.

Was just kidding about the pity fuck. It would probably cheer me up...nudge nudge...

Last July 4th some relatives forced me to go to a baseball game, dodgers vs. Giants. When the game was over (giants lost? I wasn't really paying much attention) they had a fireworks show. During the show they played 8!! disgustingly patriotic songs: star spangled banner, some country bullshit, stars and stripes..., etc. It had been perfectly planned to manipulate the emotions of the unsuspecting crowd. YOu could see the tears of love and respect welling up in their eyes. Even the mexican immigrants who probably work for pennies licking the shit out of our shiny white toilets were momentarily awed, still believing in the 'american dream.'

I can imagine that after the game the tall blond man with the mustach and dodgers jersey came home, found his wife asleep on the couch not having done her asigned chores for the day, and smashed her teeth with his boot.

The asian guy in the box seats runs a kiddie porn ring.

After eating 3 hotdogs, nachos, and a prezel the fat chick on my left will go home, guzzel down diet pills with a huge chocolate shake and hope to wake up skinny the next morning or not at all.

Many of that nights guests will drive home drunk, one will run over a couple 'trash cans' on the way and get away with it.

God, bless this country!!
Land that I fucking love!!
LAnd of opportunity, freedom, free speech, = slavery, censorship, discrimination, coruption, greed, racism, sexism, hate, ignorance, etc.

oh yeah + misspellings and bad grammar, minimum effort, .........
