I've been running one on and off since Saturday. The "bug", whatever it is, is mostly gone. I'm still less than 100%. If anyone directed questions or retorts at me while I was out, I'll get to them in time.
As a positive note, dreams during feverish periods tend to manifest themselves before the consious mind loses hold of physical reality. In other words, I had lot's of dreams and made notes. I'll try to share a couple of them soon. I'm still not in a writing frame of mind.
I suppose I should open-end this thread.
Tell us about fevers that you've experienced.

I had pneumonia once and the high fever that accompanies it. I didn't dream, however. I just passed out and woke up a moment later to be told that three days had passed. That was strange.
One time, I stayed up for 36 hours. Towards the end I had weird hallucinations, dreaming while awake. I was moving through water and words I heard (I guess) were swimming past me in printed form. There were lots of colorful fish, too. In the end I just fell asleep at a bus station.

We wondered where you were.
But you never wander far so we waited patiently.
Glad you feel better.
As for fevers...I had a kidney infection once. The Dr. refused to run a urine sample and treated me for 2 weeks for other crap. I stayed sick with a fever for almost 3 weeks.
Thats when my mom started to learn about herbal remedies.
Usually, when I feel to hot...its cause I leaned on the stove without looking first.

That was a weird dream!
I don't remember mine any more. I kind of miss them. I used to fly a lot.

a few years ago i had a fever for a week or so at the end of august. i laid on the couch all day, alternating between covered and un- due to the hot and cold flashes and eating oranges. constantly. i ate 7 or 8 oranges a day, and that's it. i'd stumble up and peel 3 and lay down again.
i was delerious for a while, too. i saw a horse in my room, and remember quite distinctly thinking "good horsey". it was really small, maybe 3 feet at the shoulder. i don't know how many "hands" that is.
i like fevers. delerium is fun, plus the whole ordeal saps any ambition from you, making you completely apathetic towards your weak condition, which is better than say, the flu, where you wish you were dead.

i completely agree, BP!! delerium is very cool...that sort of half conscious, dizzy kind of thing. this is strange, but i get low grade fevers fairly often. i think i'm just ultra in tune with my body & therefore notice the slightest deviation from its norm.
you get the same sorts of effects from sleep deprivation & extreme fasting! http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

yeah. i like being deprived of sleep too, in a masochistic sort of way. it brings about a state i think of as "loopiness", which i enjoy immensely.
of course, i'm just making delicious lemonade out of the horrible insomnia-inducing lemons cruel cruel fate has pelted me with. pardon me while i add a few more adjectives to that sentence.
