I think disagreements among mods/admins is not only inevitable but good for the entire HyperTribe. It gives everyone affirmation that we haven't come here to form our own "elite" clique for the sake of kissing ass and pissing off "newbies".

I propose the following to my fellow mods/admins: When you feel the need to express grievence or disagreement with another mod/admin, please do so intelligently. If you feel the need to resort to playground tactics (which I'll be the first to admit can be great fun), take it to Area 51 and keep it out of the public eye. It's kind of like arguing with family members. It happens. But you shouldn't do it out on the front lawn for the whole neighborhood to witness.

In summary, show some restraint in accordance with your responsibities. When you feel like you've reached the limits of that restraint, move to a more appropriate battlefield to avoid "civilian casualties."

The flaming stuff really hasn't bothered me. I think we are all used to it. What you are posting now should have been done in private with the guilty parties. Deleting threads is bad even for bad threads. All we see is a thread missing and wonder why. Locking them is more appropriate and gives a silent message...."This type of thread is not allowed". It gives up an example of what is considered a "bad" thread.
It is your site after all but having the site admin have half of his posts be threatening / whiney is not attractive. Threatening to take down the board is never appropriate and just theatrical.
So ban me beat me flame me but let's keep it private.
