I am totaly shocked.
I have been living in a buble and was totally unaware.

You see, I picked up the Dallas Morning news yesterday evening and went home and read what I could stomach. The front page has a story called "Another Round in gun debate"
In this article I learned that the supreme court of the United States of America has been, for the last 60 years, setting precedent that "the right to keep and bare arms" is a statement about the "collective" and not the "individual".......

Why did no one tell me?
Here, I've been walking around thinking I had the right to purchase and own and use firearms in a manner that did nopt infringe on my neighbors rights. But apparently my ownignt them IS an infringement on those rights.

I'm so sorry, and I think I'll give all my guns back so that my child will grow up in a safe and peaceful world.

How do we maintain a militia with out each having our own weapons?

Militian: An organised body of citizens (please note the plural), as the national guard, drilled and equipped as soldiers, but called to service only in emergencies.

Sorry, as anti gun control laws as I may be, the governmental constraints for this particualar issue are not to be found in your constitution.

I am a member.
The national guard is owned by the army. Funded and filled with their people. In fact they use them as support.

There must be no federal or state funding of the militia. It must be private individuals.

And If I can't change this gov't I will never be an upperclass white male.

But, I will be asked to support a government and society that does not support me.
Unless I want welfare.
A society that refuses to run its self with out saddling me with a yoke of repression.

My country can be better. And I am trying to improve it.
First my kids and local gov't.
When I can I support groups that follow my values. (see: few and far between)
I will take part in my gov't when the chance presents itself.
So now I study and debate and watch the horizon.
