Some girl: Because every citizen is entitled to the same amount of media coverage?

Some Girl: Why not? Just because you think homosexuality is wrong?

Girl: That's just you imposing your values on me...THAT is wrong.

Yes, people do frequently seem to forget that democracy "works" because it works on the principle that the majority always get there way. The Law protects minorities, not Democracy.

Off topic, but I was listening to the news the other night and there was a story about a man who had been murdered, they were giving a brief rundown on the victim; "the man was a male caucasion known to the police as a homosexual"... this made me think how often do you hear "the man was known to the police as a heterosexual"?

I will only ever face that reality if someone tells me this redefinition of republic that you americans have please. France is a republic but it looks nothing like your system.
