I saw Shrek. Very funny.
Today I went to the theater with my old man and saw Sexy Beast. Kinda film noir. Highly enjoyable.
And...just finished watching The Deer Hunter. DeNiro is the shit.
What're the past 3 good movies you saw?

I was just thinking of movies today, I haven't seen any really good movies lately. you know the one's that after it's over you say to yourself, "damn...that was a good movie." But some from the past include:
The Shawshank Redemption
Tombstone
The Green Mile
Full Metal Jacket
Castaway
just to name a few. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/wink.gif

i thought the soundtrack was alright..
everyone i watched it with cringed whenever music came on, though.
one hting i regret is watching it without knowing all that much about "the Odyssey." Kinda made the movie a mystery to me at some points..

FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY FINAL FANTASY

"Do or do not. There is no try..."
I was in Westwood the other day when a guy came up to me and asked if I wanted to go to a private, preview movie. I had some time to burn so I said yes. Well, the movie was "Final Fantasy". It was an okay movie, but most of us who saw it felt that the whole Aki thing dying at the end was not even necessary. Also, when the aliens were finally "extinguished", why did they keep it open for a follow-up movie if this is the Final Fantasy?
I felt it was unrealistic and slow. A few people got bad headaches as well. The plot was old, nothing new (ie: Battlefield Earthish). It's no "Bladerunner". Oh, also having Alec Baldwin in it turned my stomach (I can't stand that hypocritical, animal rights wacko). But, the one shining light was Donald Sutherland. He made a drab part come to life and was the only one believeable.

damn, it looks as if my fav. movie of all time has made the top list on a few others:
Shawshank Redemption.
I can watch that movie over and over and never get bored. In fact, I have done that before http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

I might go see Final Fantasy tonight. I don't know why they bothered calling it that. Nor why they say "Based on the hit video game." Not only does it have NOTHING to do with any of the Final Fantasy video games, neither do ANY of the Final Fantasy games have anything to do with one another, except for the fucking chocobos!
