View Full Version : Waking Up in a New World

One thing I really hate is people who wake up in a new world every day.
Not “To” a new world.
“In” a new world.
Allow me to expound.

1) They will say doing something is wrong.
They know its wrong. They tell you its wrong.
Then they do it and say “Yah, but you don’t understand…..”

2) They get a job and work hard and sacrifice (for three weeks or so)
They’re so proud of what they’ve done they get stoned or drunk, feel sick and don’t go to work (for four or five days).
Then they fight with the boss when they get back because he’s a dick and they deserve some slack for all the shit they’ve endured.
And then they get pissed and quit.

3) They feel obligated to be always embroiled in someone elses self-caused problems at all times. Trying to be the “hub of sanity” by causing more chaos and making exceptions for other people’s behavior. They always know what’s best despite the fact they haven’t actually done it or even attempted it themselves.

4) They speak volumes about chasing their dreams and attaining the life they want despite the sacrifices that must be made.
But they “just can’t do it here!”
And they can never do “it” wherever they are.

5) They have these friends….
You know the ones.
Can’t trust ‘em
Always need your help never offer any.
(Note: we all have these friends from time to time but never for long. The people I’m talking about need these friends to take them through the cycle of love and hate over and over and over and over…….)

6) Then one night, at the worst possible time, they sit in your house with a drink in one hand and say “Man, I’m gonna change things. I feel like I’m different, now. I can’t keep living like this. I wish I were more like YOU.”

Now tell me….Do they ever change?
Do they really want to be more like you?

NO.
It’s the character. They live in a new world each day.
They’re just a character and so are you, to them.
What they did yesterday counts for shit.
What you did yesterday only carries over if they want it in today’s world.
Don’t worry about that.

To quote the most immoral, disgusting, narcissistic, slut that has ever walked the face of the earth.( An in-law of mine)

“Thank God for second chances”

I think it’s the same beautiful world I went to sleep in.
I’m glad to have it.
1) I will always live as I speak
2) I will trade fair work for fair wages.
3) I will maintain myself, my friends and my family.
And in doing so help others.
4) I will chase my dreams to what ever degree and with whatever tools I may,
and be glad for the opportunity.
5) I will give to each man what I wish to receive
and accept only the true of heart, and free of mind as friends.
6) I will never long to be anything but who I am.
And I except full responsibility for all that person’s actions.

Everyday.
In this world.

Very nice post theMAC.

So nice I can't even reply right now, only to ask if the people you speak of are just BAD? Do they deserve to occupy the same space as you and I?

This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. We are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion.

We need to get you some robes, theMAC. You keep spouting shit like that and I may find myself out of a job here http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/wink.gif Better to get you on board as a fellow Shaman while there's still Time.

This is the end result of people who are completely in the control of Mother Culture. Our society blah blah blah, fuck it. I just don't have the energy to comment on anything today.

When people wake up every day and say they want to change their life for the better but yet never take the responsibility to do so, I think it normally means they are trying to live in a character that is not their own. Like they’re trying to act out someone else’s life. They want all the positive things that the individual has, but will not make the sacrifices needed for those positive things. Happiness based on sacrifices, like making the sacrifice to work out everyday to live a healthier life. This shows a serious lack of focus and discipline in character, and unfortunately individuals like this has a behavior that is contagious.

Three extremes.

Like The MAC said.....

People whom wish to jump the fence and look at the grass on the other side longingly.

Case two,

People whom push at the fence all day hoping to find an opportunity too afraid to jump the fence but doing something about getting more (creating opportunities)

Case three,

People whom blindly jump the fence and the one after that and then the next. They are the complete successes and the complete failures. Sometimes the grass is greener and sometimes you just hopped the fence to the meat packing plant.

Despair, Sloth, Greed, and Fear occupy all three. Good people exist in all three states as well as bad. In general I thing the socially deviant persons tend to fill the extreme categories. It still boils down to the individual.

I cast my vote for Mac's induction into the Jedi Shaman program where Kol will instruct him in the living force and take him on as his padewan learner.
