Back when I used to come here life on planet Earth was fucked up, be it if you were a human, dog or micro-organism someone had not discovered yet. But all I cared about then was trying to get my dick wet. Well I did, and life is still fucked, but it seems like it's just getting fucked up even worse.

I don't know if I should be an ignorant skeptic, and say either:

a) Well if Billy doesn't recycle, I don't have to either.

b) Life will work itself out, with all the power we have over each other we are still smaller than we really think.

c) Recycling doesn't do much, think about it, it's just to make money and when they're not making money they throw the cans in the garbage!

d) and so on.

e) etc. etc.

f) Isn't the universe... like... fucked up!

Maybe I've watched too many documentaries; maybe I shouldn't listen to David Sizuki so much. It just seems like this world is going to Hell in a hand-basket and I'm going to witness it in my life-time. Be it the ever-so-shifting climate, all-out war, disiese, whatever.

What do YOU think? I really wish I could talk to my grand-father right now, who died at 99 seven years ago, and ask him if that's what people thought before my time. Did they think the world was gonna go to shit too? Even all the way back, say, in the year 975?

I'm beginning to believe "Ignorance is bliss" should be a common phrase with human-beings.

Snowed last night. Nothing much snow that will be gone in a couple of days and ice.

The power went out and the whole down was black. It's eerie living in the woods and having the power go out and realize how much light is given off by communities and such. Across the lake the street lights and house lights go off and it's just complete blackness with the odd car light being seen off in the distance driving. You come up with cool 'end of the world' scenarios when this happens.
