Seriously. Or, if I win the lottery, I might found one. A bunch of scientist-monks, like the Jesuits, perhaps...? There's a lot to be said for the lifestyle...some say that they or communities like them might be the best hope for knowledge when everything falls to shit, as it is inevitably going to do the way things are going.

Me and RougeWarrior, abbot and prior? Somehow the image doesn't fit.

I recently heard of some guy who wants to found a religious-based research college, based on the same principles as the Jesuits. It's called the "Ave Maria School" or something like that and it's being attacked by some big "womyn's" organization for being "anti-womyn and promoting hate." This is something I'm going to research and report back with in the coming weeks.

ever thought about starting your own church or maybe your own religion?

hell i became an ordained minister(yes a legal/licensed minister) over the net! $$

i later denounced it though, i felt it was disrespectful and i was making a mockery of the people who actually have religion(you know my beliefs or nonbeliefs.)

just do what you think should do, just 'think before you leap' so to speak.
make sure it's what you want to do.

Founding a religion of one is a very Baptist thing to do. I like being Catholic. But anyway, yes, I will give it serious thought before I make a committment, thanks. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/smile.gif

Haha...Catholic...HA!

If you find comfort in rutual and subjugation...have at it bro...keep eating yer fucking flesh and blood every mass and uplift yer spirit in that rapture that is known simply as hysteria outside the setting of a church...be sure to bathe in holy water...say yer prayers...and jerk off when confessing to the priest as this is truly the way to Heaven...as ordained by our Lord God, Jesus Christ...Amen.

So it just sort of materialised out of nowhere and became emersed in history?

no one knows exactly how it started. no one was there to tell us.

therefore these books of history dictate to us what it is about.

You have posted in SPF. That alone excludes you from joining any monastery in this lifetime. You can try again in a future life but it won't be the next one because we all have to come back as either dung beetles or crab lice for our common sin.
