Hell, it happens in North Korea, Russia, Canada...idiocy is rampant everywhere. Propaganda too!

All depends on delivery, man. They sell snake oil remedies on TV all the time for wrinkles, piss-poor pharmaceuticals, they take plain ol' macaroni and call it healthy, etc, ad nauseam.

Most people are too lazy to educate themselves to a degree where events and products' benefits can be divined without the help of bad news show pundits and soundbites. They gotta go buy Hot Pockets or water their lawn so the Homeowner's Association doesn't come bitch-slap them. They don't give a rip about the War On Something Or Other unless the taxes go up, the SSI check stops coming, or fuel costs get absurd.
