... Texas that is. And no there aren't any movie stars nor Beverly Hills.

Got hired to refinish some floors for a guy refurbishing a rather old house. The thing was built in 1854- yes there were folks in this here part of Texas back yonder when. The whole house is made out of pine- that virgin pine shit that is harder than granite. I am down to using #20 grit sandpaper for the big sander and even that isn't doing a whole hell of alot.

I think I should have charged more. Have only got two rooms done and have 6 more to go, plus all the damn closets and shit.

Back is giving me fits lugging that damn 200 lbs sander up two flights of stairs.

Ha! Sounds like me working on this place not long ago.

You'll get 'er done. Let the tool do the work til it explodes due to bullshit floors, and then shoot it for a stress reliever.

Ribs gave me fits for a decent portion of the stuff - my scrawny ass lugged and sanded and lugged some more. I made fun noises.

But, hey - it's money, man. All that counts. Bad work beats being broke and looking. Hang in there, or else the sanders will find and get you when you sleep.

Got'er dun. I think. And they was perty. Operative word is(was) was. Or something to that effect.

Got them sanded and the wood came out almost golden colored. Damn right beautiful. Then the owners wanted it stained almost black. Shoot me for working so damn hard.
