I went out to my "peace of shit" car earlier to go into town only to be disapointed. It decided that it wanted a break, and didn't start. So now I have to get a starter put on the damn thing. That's not the only thing wrong with my "peace of shit" car. The junker also needs a power steering pump, a bath, and some body work, OPPS.

I feel for you Joanus.

When I was young I realized that, because we were poor, if I didn't know how to work on my own car I'd be afoot. I bercame rather adept at mechanicing and I always had a good dependable ride.
Now I'm mariied and I work all day every day. I had to learn that you don't have time to work on your own car. And for the money you spend working on two or more cars you could be paying on newer ones that don't need work yet. I have had to swallow the pill of financing but it serves its purpose.
I drive an old truck I maintain and I got my wife a nice newish car to drive. I had to learn to bank so that I don't have to mechanic. And I will point out to you that the only thing that will get in your way of being able to finance a nice car when you need one is Credit Cards and School/Medical Debt. Don't charge one damn thing you don't have to. Find a banker you like and act like he/she is your best friend. It will pay dividends in the end.
Until then, try cursing, and kicking it.
