Samson Blinded's author advocates religious state of Judea at the border with Israel and expulsion of Arabs. Obadiah Shoher denies democracy dominated by liberals and Muslims and calls Israelis to oppose police efforts at removing the settlements. His other point is dismanlting economically unbearable Israeli army and relying on nuclear weapons. However, he decried Lebanese and Iraq invasions.

Public opinion seems to strongly shift the the right in Middle East issues. Any thoughts on that?

Public opinion shifting to the right vis-a-vis Middle East politics is a somewhat problematic characterization of the reality. To the right by whose yardstick? Certainly not to the right by the measure of many very conservative Americans, who would like to see all aid to Israel (and the surrounding Arab states) ended.

Obadiah Shoher is a religious nutjob, in focus not significantly different from the most ardent Wahabist moslem fanatics. Religion as the source of law in a pluralistic society is a recipe for disaster. Creating a monolithic culture by the expedient of expelling all who differ is a sure and certain path to stagnation and eventual destruction.
