(Note to self: Truck needs tune-up.
and stop hyphenating things, moron.
Also, talking to yourself in the third-person tends to draw attention.)
I'm milking 27 mpg out of the Tacoma. Can't complain much since it's a '96.
I jokingly mentioned getting a motorcycle to Sid, what with the gas prices raising hackles on everyone.
She didn't flinch! Immediate "go for it"!
"Motorcycle" was my second choice but now that it's been OK'd, I'm going for the gyrocopter.

I got bored.
Usually when I get really bored something eventually snaps and a glimpse of brilliance emerges.
Anyway, as a result our freezer has been repaired and a new outlet (with conduit and GFCI) installed for the thing - extension cord had been used for ages. I rather like things that are still fixable...the way things are manufactured in recent years, it's getting harder and harder to.
NP, Mae. :)

I had a purple car (well, I thought it was maroon) for eight whole days, and then something in the engine broke, to everyone's horror and astonishment, effectively totalling her.
Now I have a teal station wagon. Once I discovered and replaced the bum tire full of plugs and fix-a-flat, it even stopped shaking violently between 65 and 75.
I had an automatic '89 Chrysler Le Baron Convertible (Red) that was a six cylinder. Got about 30 mpg. Then I exploded it- and now I'm back to my '88 Toyota four banger stick truck, only about 22mpg. There should be a bigger difference in gas millage, the truck should do better than the car. I'm looking at getting a Subaru. Any suggestions?

I like ugly cars. You don't have to waste time washing them.

Bullshit - the bashed up, pile-of-junk cars are often the ones that perform best.
Often the material possessions that can net you the fastest profits.
Any decent, intelligent person ought to have the common fucking sense to maintain what he owns - for his own sake...be it use of such or the ability to sell later.

I'd post a picture of Bessy (I named my car), but I can't seem to get the attachment to work. I'll send a copy of the picture to anyone who feels like posting it for me.

I just call mine The Lesmobile, as any station wagon with roof rack rightly deserves to be called.
At least I don't have kayaks or rainbow stickers...
