I like how I live in world where getting cancer is almost inevitable (when you look at the 'big picture').

If I was told a long time ago doing some of the little things I do would contribute to me getting cancer, I would have maybe taken different steps and choices:

- Opening a microwave right after it's finished heating up your meal can contribute to cancer. Just standing next to the microwave while it's ON is bad. (this information was told to my friend's father by his doctor when being treated for cancer).

- Smoking (OF COURSE), but I knew that to begin with.

- Eating the wrong food could contribute to cancer.

- If you look at the 'big picture' again, the Sun causes cancer of course, but research shows it's getting extremely worse compared to only 20 years ago.

- etc. (perhaps your additions and thoughts)

For fuck's sakes, if you look at the 'big picture'.... EVERYTHING CAUSES CANCER.

with the exception of the sun, which we have made alterations to in a way, it would be more accurate to say "everything WE MADE causes cancer".

microwave ovens do not grow in nature
nor do x-rays
tobacco grows in nature, but the 2 pack a day filled with artificial preservatives habit doesn't
it's not the food, it's the artificial crap we put in it. in fact, the stuff that grows in nature has been proven to actually REDUCE our risk of cancer.

wanna know what causes cancer? we do.

Hi Mute

I WAS told a long time ago about all these things, and I still didn't do anything to prevent it...

Now that you know, are you going to make changes to your life?

I'm not...I doubt many will.

"everything causes cancer"

therein lies the answer

it's not any one thing you do, it's everything you do

but if you want to know about moderation ask the buddha

And I'm not so sure I buy all that shit about we cause more cancer now. What about all the babies who didn't die of tuberculosis and whopping cough 40 years ago who now line up for prostate checks and mammograms?

and as for the sun it sends out 3 types of UV radiation
UVA : visible light
UVB : the light which cause plants to grow
UVC : the light which ends all life as we know it

I'd say our atmoshere is working pretty good and our obsession with deep, rich, all over, hollywood tans on blonde girls isn't

but I digress

MUTE, YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

to be honest with you I'm actually not going to die.

What is going to happen is this:

There's arsenic in the local lakes around here. One special day the Sun is going to release a wave of cosmic rays that baffle scientists. It will react with the SuPER CrAzY ArSeniC and I, along with my friends, will become the SUPER DUPER ARSENIC CRAZY MEN!

Thank me when I save you from Zoltor taking over humans as slaves.

And you say:

:wtf:

Read on a carefree gum label, it says " may cause cancer."
Do I chew it now, no, but that's simply because it tastes like shit.

Same here. The thing is, what if I'm so accustomed to something that giving it up could be 'problematic'. FUCK YOU SOCIETY!

Read that. Do it several times.

I may not be the first one to interpret "addiction" from that.

"Problematic" to me implies that you're askling for help.

"FUCK YOU SOCIETY" includes me.

Cancer sucks. I know that only because I have lives close to me that ended that way.

I learned yesterday that the child molester I know about near here has a pre-cancerous gum disease that may cost him his life. He'd rather keep $40 in his pocket and go on as he is than change his way of life.

So be it. His choice. I won't encourage him to change his mind.

I have to admit, though, that I feel a little bit bad about watching a baby-fucker's face rot from the inside-out and not doing anything about it.

I'd rather beat the baby-fucker's knee caps off.

When I say the word 'society' I more likely was referring to the busineess' selling me things that are cancerous. Perhaps they didn't know of such things at first, or perhaps they did and really don't give a shit since they're making big dollars.

I wasn't referring to you in any way chief. Heh heh, YOU'RE BRAIN STIMULATING THREADS HAVE OVER-CLOCKED MY BRAIN SO MUCH THAT IT'S CAUSING ME CANCER YOU ASSHAT! :p

I may not be the first one to interpret "addiction" from that.

"Problematic" to me implies that you're askling for help.

Not so much cigarettes. More like my local grocery store and the artificial preservatives I've come accustomed to. IE. on my produce, boxed food, etc.. Who knows what has cancerous material in it these days. And to go out of my way an extra 2 hours just to buy food that's grown and produced naturally is not 'cost efficiant' and/or 'time efficiant' (did I use the right term?).

I don't know if I ever use the right words, but the irony of those latter sentances in that last paragraph just cracks me up. (my last paragraph)
