the thought of cyber-manipulation keeps me busy. it's a really interesting bit of psychology, a weird way to gain "power" in a non-physical medium. the only alternative to gaining actual esteem via intelligence or personality, which is not to say that the antagonists are necessarily un- or -less.

the thing i like most about online manipulation is that it is unbeatable. take offense, and he wins. talk about it like i have, giving it attention, he wins. ignore it and you're a coward, and he wins. try to beat him in a game o flame, etc. the unprovoked insult is the neutron bomb of the online community.
