Question...

I admit to knowing next to nothing of politics, both current or past... but I do know this. Corporations seem to be building power by the day, and one day will become the ruling class. Seeing as how money has always equaled power in the past, in should do the same in the future.

Do you believe that one day, Mega-corporate conglomerates will be the final arbiter of dispute and law?

And just to play the role of ignorant laymans advocate, why would this be a bad thing?

In the past, Japanese companies have taken good care of their workers, a trend that seems to be falling to the wayside in the last 10 years or so. But, if a company can be like a surrogate family to a worker, where's the harm? Providing that said company does not infringe on the basic human rights of said worker.


I'm really trying to see this all in the right way RW, but keep in mind, I'm am sothe newbie when it comes to this kind of thought.

Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott believes the United States may not exist in its current form in the 21st Century -- because nationhood throughout the world will become obsolete!

Talbott, who is profiled in the NEW YORK TIMES on Monday [for the second time in six months], has defined, shaped and executed the Clinton administration's foreign policy. He has served at the State Department since
the first day of the Clinton presidency.

Just before joining the administration, Talbott wrote in TIME magazine -- in
an essay titled "The Birth of the Global Nation" -- that he is looking forward
to government run by "one global authority."

"Here is one optimist's reason for believing unity will prevail ... within the
next hundred years ... nationhood as we know it will be obsolete; all states
will recognize a single, global authority," Talbott declared in the July 20,
1992 issue of TIME.

"A phrase briefly fashionable in the mid-20th century -- 'citizen of the world'
-- will have assumed real meaning by the end of the 21st."

Talbott continued: "All countries are basically social arrangements, accommodations to changing circumstances. No matter how permanent and even sacred they may seem at any one time, in fact they are all
artificial and
temporary."

Talbott's belief that the United States of America and other nations are "artificial and temporary" continues to cause a rift inside of the State Department, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

"I think we are losing sight that we work for the American taxpayer, not Russia, not Asia," one State Department veteran told the DRUDGE REPORT in
Washington. "Mr. Talbott is completely consumed with world order and has alienated many career employees here. [His] attitude borders on
obsession."

In recent months, Talbott has come under fire for his stand on Russia. The
policy of financial and political engagement with Russia as revelations pour
forth of massive money-laundering schemes has made Talbott the target of critics, reports John Broder at the TIMES.

"We have to be calm and steady and have a clear sense of purpose," Talbott
tells Monday's NEW YORK TIMES.

"One of my modest suggestions to the world is strategic patience. We have
to be calm and steady and have a clear sense of purpose when that dynamic
is discouraging, as it is today," Talbott explains.

Global government has proven to be slightly more complicated than one optimist dreamed.

The Bible predicted the coming of a one world government... I know there are a few of you out who belive that the Bible was written by a bunch of old wise men.... (I believe it the true word of GOD) You can not ignore the accuracy of the word. The US as a nation is at the beginning of the end of world domination. We going down and were going down hard. As a nation we would not fit into the plans of a one world government because in a one world government, there is no room for a democracy. People like myself and RW would fight to the death before we allowed a complete stripping of our freedoms and rights. But I warn you my friends, hard times are comming... It's a matter of when and how.... Either through natrual disaster, war, or finacial collapse.... Or a combination of either one of these... Pick up a news paper and check out the stock market..... It's not a pretty sight....

I don't really understand much of this. If not anything. I never really paid attention in school. In fact I wasn't there because I was always suspended. So I don't know much about anything , political , scientifical or anything else that requires thought . Until now .

Recently I have been wondering such things and wanting to learn more. Sometimes it's an over load to the brain.

What I'm trying to say is : I may not post and say great or interesting things on topics like this because I'm probably just reading and gathering information . Sometimes I will say something , sometimes I won't.

Ah...yeah , with that out of the way .

This is what I think :

I don't like corporations , they seem to force feed people into believing something or becoming that image (Like MTV). Then they use that and pump people full of idea's and then use them to line their pockets , so that they get a nice new car.

If I recall correctly, Enstein was also in favor of a one world govt., wish I could find that quote...

About the New World Order and whatnot...personally, I dont see it being ruled by the UN but by one country or geographic region under the guise of something like a UN...historically speaking, the UN has screwed the pooch too many times to get their, they lost their chance(Read "The fearful master" for more info, sorry, cant recall the author)...

Things are already being consolodated but Im not of the opinion that corporations will have much say in how things are run...sure, govt. will still protect their interests as ours are closely tied to them but instituting some sort of giant dictatorship is just not workable...people would have to be "happy" to go under this sort of rule without a fight...if we werent, we would use some gurilla warfare shit and never be truly subjugated...thats all for now...

P.S. This thread has inpired me to post a long one of my own about social automation and social engeneering...something I am extremely interested in...prepare for a shitload of text when I get around to it...
