1 20 gig hard drive, 3 partitions. c:=win98 5.0 gig
d=data 8.0 gig and e=blank 7 gig. the c drive is still there, the last two have disappeared. in partition magic the last two are gone and are marked as un-allocated space. i had so many fucking important things on the data drive. i need to know some way to get some files off of the dis-appeared partitions.

I've had a simular problem..

Either you ran the Defragment Tool and stopped it in the middle of the process (which is known to have freaky results)

or.. I'm sorry to say, your harddrive is dead!
Mine did that once. I lost countless MP3's and all my fucking appz.. took me months to get back on track!

Thats why you ALWAYS make backups!

Sorry disturbed..

they are all on the same HD, and the first partition works fine, thats how i can still use my computer, and the data partition WAS my backup
