If you missed the link to the radio version, here (http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-browse?sh=1&button=Browse&dir=%2Fpub%2F.arch-download%2Fhhgttg&sort=type) 'tis again.

From what I've seen of the movie trailers (http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/trailers/clips2.html?movie=trailer1&size=WMlarge), the spirit of the book remains intact.

Regardless of how it performs in that respect, I've already decided to throw down cash when the DVD is released.

It looks promising. I'm hoping for the best, even if it sucks.

Haha, you hang out with D.

Can't be worse than the BBC version. Which wasn't even that bad.

Funny that it costs millions to reproduce what you've already seen in your head via ink on paper.

There has to be a logical ratio here... Let's see... (/me hold his tongue just right)...

The radio version is roughly 6 hours long.

The movie version will have to be shortened by 60%. The difference will be compensated by elaborate effects and jarring sounds.

That's an even trade as long as the adaptation produces smiles.

Then, of course, you have to recall Adam's own writing. That takes more than 6 hours to read but it looks like enough poeple know the simple rewards given by the combination of Book + Comfortable Place.

Unless you're using a laptop in bed, you aren't comfortable. Save up $5.x (US) and buy the book.

For those who ARE cozy, here are a few chapters via Amazon.

Enjoy. Many already have.
