The Simpsons Reveal Gay Character (http://www.toronto.fashion-monitor.com/news.php/television/2005022303simpsons_gay)

The Simpsons revealed a gay character on Sunday and it turned out to be Marge's hairy legged sister, Patti Bouvier.

The Simpsons, Fox network show, embraced the controversy of gay marriage by having its latest episode centre on a same-sex union.

In the latest episode of Simpsons titled "There is something about marrying", which broadcasted on Sunday night, Homer Simpson was the minister at the wedding of Patti Bouvier, one of twin sisters of Marge Simpson.

In the episode, Springfield legalizes gay marriage with Homer Simpson obtaining a permit to conduct ceremonies at $200-a-time, when his sister-in-law told him she has fallen in love with a professional golfer called Veronica.

However, Patty's big gay day was ruined when her "bride" appeared to be a man when his large Adam’s apple was unveiled at the altar.

Homer Simpson began his gay marriage ceremony by saying “Queerly beloved, we are gathered here today...”

The show appeared to be quite successful, and Las Vegas was even taking bets as to who the gay character would be. Rumours were about Smithers or Krusty the Clown, but in the end, Patti came out…

Just because Smithers have not come out...does not mean he's not gay.

Look at Torque.
