Interesting question. The company I work for has recently adopted a hiring program which targets people with at least a 4 year degree or significant military experience to enter a fast-track management program. On the other hand, the majority of our store managers hold no college degree. The company has talked about partnering with a University to offer degrees to us as non-tradional students but nothing has materialized with that.

I'd love to have my degree finished.

I want to give this a serious answer but I don't have time right now so, instead, I'll say:

It's true only if you are educating people about karma (which really doesn't applly to business).

more later, perhaps.

Business and edimaication? Aren't the two contradictions?

The way things are now you have to have a certain degree and certain experience to get any particular job. Yet, when you look at the resumes of yer bosses, they have no degree, had no experience prior to that job, etc... lovely little double standard no? And yet, to get the job you HAVE to have the requirements. But, if you do have the requirements and get the job, yer life is made harder by the bosses without.

Or, you could do like me, get a teaching degree, can't get a teaching job, and end up in the oil field where an 8th grade education is the standard and norm.

Or you could have a four year degree in Animal Science with 8 years of experience in agribusiness management then wind up working in a county jail for approximately the same salary you earned as new hire trainee 10 years ago.

The terrorists have already won.

And by terrorists, I mean government officials.
