Fire 'em Down

My kid had a stage production tonight.

Just before it began, we went backstage into the rehearsal area. The childrens' excitement was almost tangible. The teachers, however, were visibly anxious.

"Fire 'em up", said I.

Listen closely and hear one of the teachers stating that she usually has to "fire them down".

I'm the loud SOB getting the kids pumped up.

A few moves ago I came accross an old box of casette tapes from when I was a kid. Instead of the newfangled gadgets, we had tape recorders. I put mine to good use. :) It was kind of neat to hear that voice from the past.

Memories don't always have to be visual.
