albinoism is the lack of melanin pigment in an animal (also called amelinism)
in humans without melanain we are just......white...our highly vascular tissue will make us seem pink tho...with excessive melanin we are black (melanistic)

but many animals, such as snakes, can still have alot of different colors. all they lack is black

here's a couple baby albino corn snakes I have

now lets say that you get rid of all the black
then you wash out all the other colors
then you breed this "snowy" (http://www.snakemuseum.com/photos/snowcorn.jpg) colored snake back to a distant cousin who happens to have a strong gene for green hidden in its grey and brown (http://www.kingsnake.com/hudspeth/emoryrat.htm)

I wish the green would show up as vibrantly minty as it is in real life...that just looks yellowish :(

anyway, you can take the black out of the snake but you can't...I dunno where I was going with that but I think I'll stop now
